SURRENDER

He is no fool he that gives up what he can lose for what he cannot lose-Jim Elliot

Life happens they say.

Today we are well and happy, tomorrow we never know what will happen. No wonder men pursue happiness with all vitality. However no matter the strategy man employs, life just lends itself into tough situations and low moments. Moments least desired for our testing and seasoning.

There are those tough seasons of losing. Painful times where real loss and agony are inevitable but evident. When we lose loved ones, relationships, money, job etc. These times we need real comfort of true friends. Nobody likes to be in such times, thank heaven that they were not met to last forever. They come and go,life continues

But we also have some strange low moments. When the external world is pretty much the same but internally we agonize. These are the moments where worrying takes center stage, complaining and bad temper just flow profusely. When our emotions have got a better hold on us and our attitudes are I disarray. These enslaving moments demand that we remain there and stew a little more in our misery. We are tempted to think if we worry more we will gain enlightenment. The problem is not our circumstances but our thoughts. These are the thoughts we need to give up to be better.

We surrender to be better. We shed unwholesome thoughts for wholesome being.
We surrender worrying to gain understanding.

How do you surrender worrying?

First ,giving thanks is the price to pay. Gratitude is the currency for this trade.
Be grateful for the materials that make your external world worth living to pursue bigger causes in life.

Yes you have your daily bread, but don't indulge in gluttony
Yes you have clothes, but you don't need to be a fashion nerd
Yes you can buy alcohol, but not drink yourself silly.

The material world just represents necessities. They may be necessary to your level and lifestyle but they won't satisfy you.
Your soul either needs more or discipline.
Our hearts are unsearchable and dishonest. The heart is deceitful  above all things and beyond cure, who can understand it?-Jeremiah 17:9

We many at times don't know what we want. We even don't have the audacity to claim we have the Best of interest within us. This is the point we need to trade our desires to God's will. We need and ought to reckon our need to seek first God's kingdom. Otherwise we succumb to the preying of our own hearts to our own hurt.
When we surrender our weakness we win His strength.
You are blessed
