BACK TO BASICS FROM AVERAGE
In my short span under the sun, my spirit has been disturbed by these two paradoxes in life. First is, no one is perfect, yet I live as if am expected to be the first. The second is like this : nobody pays for average, yet that is destiny off all our struggle. Believe me, we are always deviating from the basics toward the average.
Here is why:
The average concept is in my opinion the most telling of all the concepts in statistics . It is a number that cannot lie. Under normal circumstances, it consists of the majority who have their way. The influence of the average cannot be undetonated with the risk of self destruction.
Evil company corrupts good morals. You are the average of your friend's character. When we look at life, we are all tempted to flow with the trends. Popular culture cannot be wished away. The holy book however warns against the tragedy of conforming to patterns of the present world. (Romans 12:1-3)
AVERAGE PATTERNS.
In Matthew 6, we are drawn to the basics of life that we ought not to worry about. However, we find ourselves deluded into following the average patterns and we lose ourselves in unnecessary pursuit.
Fashion trends
Who dies to see you when you dress to kill? You can't outdo some flowers that are beyond the reach of man's eye.
Fast food
Why the fuss over the meal on the table? There is more to your body than the food you eat.
Fast riches
What will you do with 10 million if you lose your soul? Ask the rich fool in Luke 12.
Whenever these three issues remain unchecked, greed infects our egos. All we strive for is never enough. We wallow in the long continuum of average. The basic things escape our grip in search for more.
To learn contentment, let's value the fundamentals. Matt 6:33
[seek ye first the kingdom of God... And all these things shall be added to you]
With love,
