A CITY ON A HILL

 
I bet you have seen this motto somewhere,
FORWARD EVER 'BACKWARDS NEVER

I believe this is the essence of leadership.
to steer oneself, an organization,or a nation upwards and forwards.to be unreservedly committed to preservation and avoid corruption completely.
There is no doubt that the mandate of leadership is to exalt a city.Its moment by moment throb is that of a north bound train.

All that the leadership of a nation,or an organization depends on is the very life of its citizen.every members' behavior counts as far as leadership is concerned. It thus requires a bold member to let his light shine and power his neighbor by his own spirit.To be a light that will awaken others to see the direction upward,a hope that will motivate others set their eyes rolling in the north direction.their bodies will have no option but to follow suite,for where there is a will there is a way.

Whoever said that leaders are dealers in hope never minced his words.

But  I have seen characters at the top of backward and downward facing boats call themselves leaders but offer no leadership at all.
They are busybodies,daily trying to find a way.A way to impress and impact the media.They cannot offer neither do they offer instruction on the wills of men.For what purpose is the way for the oppressed and helpless who have no hope to arise and walk? Maybe it's just their own way-avenues to squander ill gotten gain.

A good infrastructural development track record is only good for history books,unless it illuminates the path of others to tread their paths with hope. Though the path may not be a superhighway or a tarmac,a hopeful citizen will always make something worthwhile out of it.
But who would appreciate a tunnel with no light at all. It could be worse than a lit lamp under a bowl!!
