What is Sin?

First of all, let's kill all the lawyers. They are useless as far as dealing with issues of sin.  In fact they are way unethical and expensive 😱

As far as sin Is the transgression of the law. It's is also true that the law came with Moses but Grace and truth came with Christ Jesus. (John 1:17)

So! 

No condemnation. No judgment. (Rom 8:1)

But is that a gate pass into the Holy of Holies. Should one continue in since now that there is grace? (Romans 6:1-). Absolutely Not.... Without Holiness no man will see God. (Hebrew 12:14).

So what is sin and how do I get root it out of my life and live a holy life? 

Basic Legwork 

Sin is man's greatest problem. Let's assume we don't know what it is for a minute. But we agree with 

Roman 3:23, and John 1:1:8-10.

We have all sinned. You have sinned, I have sinned and we have all sinned. 

No one is perfect. Not even married people... Perhaps they married because they were burning with lust in the first place. Haha

How do you reconcile your sexuality without wanting to get laid.... Aje Sasa. I was even almost dying coz some Chad alipitia my G. F before me...of course I wasn't praising God it wasn't me. 

I silently wished it could be Us😭. 

Let's not go there. 

Let's say it's something with the human nature. A natural way of being whose manifestations are an abomination in the eyes of God. 

Mat 15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

Mat 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

These are this that at the heart (core of man) whose manifestation and proclamations entangle a man in sin. 

Makes sense. It's a nature that is repellent to the world of God. 

In fact, the scripture talks of the not having the engrafted word in one's heart is essential in manifesting the devil work... Kill, steal, destroy. 

Luk 8:12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

Additionally the psalmist talks of hiding God's word in one's heart that they might not sin against God. Psalm 119:9'11

God's word has a sanctifying effect. John 17:17, John 15:3

In essence, the whole plan of salvation is geared towards the word of God being planted in the heart of God. 

That's why Believing with the heart is a critical step in being saved. (a topic of its own right) 

Without beating around the bush _--the remedy has been given by the Sacrifice and Doctrine of Christ. (Hebrews 6:1-2)

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

1. Repentance from dead works. (all appearances and hints of evil). The works of the flesh. Carnality. 

2.Faith toward God - Anything that ain't of faith is sin. He that believes not is condemned already. Without faith you can't give please God. (Hebrews 6:11)

3. Baptism - without the shedding of blood there is no remission. Be baptised in the name of Christ for the remission of sin Acts: 2:38-39

4. Resurrection of the Dead and Eternal Judgment.

I started this article by postponing judgements about sin.  But... The scripture is replete with examples that man has to give account before God based on the life he has manifested while on earth. 

It's appointed once to die but after that judgment.  Hebrews 9:17

More so... There tough pill to swallow is that there is eternal lake fire prepared for the Devil and those who love expressly to further his agenda. 

Those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. 

I believe this is the point where we grieve the Holy Ghost. A blasphemy that is unpardonable.. It's a straight ticket to hell. 

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

So anything taking you off God's plan of salvation is just Cool-aid unto eternal death! No matter the moral position to take on it. 

My conclusion is, sin is not an activity. It's a general orientation in life. A worldly life. 

Your Salvation is precious, work on it with fear and trembling. Apart from running this race of faith with the Help of the Holy Spirit, you are living a sinful life. 

Stop living a sinful life, Seek ye the Kingdom.
